Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah is famous for its hoodoos - tall, thin spires of red and orange rock carved out by frost and rain over millions of years. The amphitheater below Sunrise and Sunset Point is one of the most rewarding spots in the American Southwest for early-morning light, when the hoodoos catch the first sun and glow against the still-shadowed canyon floor.
